quelques info intéressante sur cet hybride.
j'attend de recevoir mon plant greffé depuis 1 an déjà, avec un peu de chance au printemps prochain ahhhh la patience....
selon certains Américains, le fruit serait proche du pomelo doux, de qualité excellente un peu comme une limonade sucrée, très légèrement amère, mais de récolte plus tardive que l'ujukitsu, variété proche (pour l'aspect et le gôut) qui serait également plus résistant au froid que le sanbokan. j'ai l'ujukitzu, tout petit et bientôt le sanbokan, on pourra faire des comparaisons

Sanboka has no bitterness at all. It has a thick rind & very sweet. It is also very cold hardy. My tree went through a night at 17F a few years ago with no damage at all.

Good 17F is not much to say that it is very resistant to cold because I think in this case they are resistant.

Hi Laaz, great pic for the fruit and good to hear about its frost hardiness. Could you please post also a pic of the leaves? Some of us do grow this varies but as for now, no fruit production to record. The only source we do have for this plant is not really sure and maybe comparing the leaves could help us a bit. Sanbokan leaves. Most have no petiole, but a few will have a small petiole.

Hi Laaz, thank you very much! Very interesting, mine do not have any petiole at all; probably not the right one as I guess, furthermore, it grows slowly and the space between the leaves is very short, like dwarfing habit.... Anyway, many thanks for taking part to this forum, always nice to be in contact with people form the US
